What is the Three Minute Thesis? “The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is an academic competition that assists current graduate students with fostering effective presentation and communication skills. Participants have just three minutes to explain the breadth and significance of their research project to a non-specialist audience.”
You can check out the video clips of each of the three winners’ presentations, and you can sign up for the information sessions and the preliminary rounds in the link above.
Preliminary rounds are Oct 23, 24, 25 with the Final Round of the Top 10 presentations, November 1.
Winning prizes:
- First place – $1000 and trip to compete in regional 3MT competition – March 2018
- Second place – $600
- People’s choice – $400
