Campus Rec: Grad School Paddle Fall Colors!
Saturday, October 27, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 5:30 pm
$39
Your group will choose its own adventure! You can head upstream to the confluence of the Eno and Little Rivers, the possible site of the 1600’s Native American town, “Adshusheer,” shared by the Eno and Shakori tribes. Or, head down stream to the confluence of the Eno and Flat Rivers, where the banks disappear into a watery world of marsh grasses, willows and wading birds.
Activity Level: Easy
If this trip is full, you can sign-up to be on the waitlist by visiting the Campus Rec Main Office located (SRC 101). No payment is necessary when signing up for the waitlist. Priority is given to those first on the waitlist. The last day to register for this program is Wednesday 10/24.
We will have a mandatory pre-trip meeting at the Bowman Gray pool 7 pm the Wednesday prior to the trip where we will also conduct wet exits for those wanting to solo kayak. For folks who do not practice the wet exit, they will be in a tandem canoe.
If you cancel after making a reservation, we can ONLY offer a full refund if we can get someone else from the wait-list into your spot. Spouses and S.O.’s are welcome to come along. To register as a guest, they must make an account here: https://stayactive.unc.edu/Account/Register. Contact shanea@email.unc.edu for any questions regarding this program or a custom trip for your group. This is a full day program. We will discuss our leave time and goal to arrive back at school at the pre-trip meeting. Generally you should plan to be on the trip from 8 AM – 5:30 PM. There will be a short gear clean up session at the end of the program as well to help get our gear ready for the next folks who are using it.
