CGSF: Stress & Resilience with Student Wellness

Join us for Parts 2 and 3 of the Stress & Resilience workshop with Student Wellness here at the Graduate Student Center!
 
Tuesday, November 27th, 2-3:30pm
Participants will
 
  • Develop an understanding of the physiological changes that arise as a result of accumulated stress
  • Learn about adverse childhood experiences and how they impact stress
  • Identify stress locations in their body and how they are connected to stress points stored in body memory
  • Learn activities and exercises to identify triggers
  • Learn ways to neutralize and manage triggers to increase overall wellness
 
 
 
Tuesday, December 4th, 2-3:30pm
Participants will
 
  • Review information learned about stress theory, accumulated stress and  physiological changes
  • Utilize their understanding of their personal ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences Scale) score to understand how their body experiences stress
  • Develop a personalized wellness plan focusing on the dimensions of wellness that need to be developed further
  • Learn ways of incorporating wellness into daily and hourly activities to ensure effect stress coping and management and avoid accumulation of stress
  • Be able to identify ways to incorporate wellness as a lifestyle and value
