IME Sisterhood of Empowerment in Academe (SEA): Sister Circle…And We Back!

Sister circles have been used in other contexts for black women to work through the ins and outs of their daily lives. We will continue that rich tradition here, to provide affirmation, validation, and support as we all work through this arduous journey called graduate school.
The start of a new academic year is upon us once again so let’s get started off right! Join SEA for the first meeting of the semester as we welcome back both new and returning sisters. In what ways do you think you’ll be able to make this your best year yet? This meeting, we will be discussing how we navigate through the ups and downs of graduate school, things we wish we knew before, and settings goals for the new year.
